Things are happening in Angel Fire

Summertime is winding down here in Angel Fire and we are expecting a spectacular display of color this Fall. There is still so much to do in Angel Fire. In September we start off with Bikes, Blues and Brews at the Angel Fire Resort.

On September 4th popular microbrews and craft beers, a Harley Davidson motorcycle showcase, great live music and a BBQ will be the main attractions. The Moreno Valley Parade of Homes will also be on September 4th and you can get maps to all of the homes on display at the Visitor Center on Saturday and Sunday.

Next up, September 9-12, is the ASPE Paranormal Symposium with world-famous speakers on different paranormal activities and aspects.

At the end of the month is Fishfest at Eagle Nest Lake. This annual event draws fishing enthusiasts from around the Southwest to try their luck.

Then to start off the month of October will be the Angel Fire Peak Challenge featuring a 10K run and a cross-country mountain bike race all in the same weekend. This is also considered by most to be the peak of the color change in and around Angel Fire.

Make you plans now to be in Angel Fire for any or all of these fun and exciting events.

SUMMERTIME!

Cool days beat the heat in Angel Fire! The weather has been excellent to enjoy the day outdoors with the family. Daytime temperatures have been in the mid 70's with very little humidity. The mountain bike courses are great, fishing has been great (catching trout every day) and the golf course is in great shape. The new Angel Fire Resort Country Club has added a lot to the golfing experience, too!

Every weekend there is some special event to enjoy and it looks like Angel Fire SummerFest and Balloon Rally will be one of the biggest weekends of the summer on August 6-8. But before that gets here we have fireworks over the Eagle Nest Lake on July 4th, ArtsFest is July 9-11, High Country Arts Festival is July 24 & 25 in Eagle Nest and "A Taste of Enchantment" returns to Angel Fire on July 31st. Then we have Music from Angel Fire beginning on August 20th!

Take a break from the heat! Come on up and enjoy the cool fresh air and experience all that is Angel Fire!

Spring brings more snow

This Winter and now into the Springtime, Angel Fire has been fortunate to receive a great amount of dry powder snow. Even now, Spring Break will be fantastic skiing and boarding because we get a storm through the area every few days. The roads are open, so plan now to get away and ski one more time this Winter. And if this will be your first time to ski this Winter, you will have a blast and experience some great snow conditions for skiing and boarding.

Here in Angel Fire, we are also making plans for a great summer. Check back often on our Calendar of Events, as we put more on each day.

Something is going on in Angel Fire

It seems we always have something going on in Angel Fire. There are events, and races planned for every weekend, and many weekdays for the rest of ski season. The really tough decision is trying to decide what you want to do! And if that isn't bad enough, you have to take time out for a sleigh ride or snowmobile trek into the Carson National Forest; dinner with friends up at the Sunset Grille to watch the night skiers; checking out what new clothes are at the Sweet Shirt Shop or just relaxing at En Fuego listening to Paul play the baby grand piano in the evenings.

New this winter, along with the Night Skiing is Friday Knight Lights hosted by Experience Snowboard. Jam in the new freestyle park every Friday night with the guys from Experience Snowboards and pick up some great tips. Twin Tip Nation also has No Drama Days throughout the season which allows you to ride with the pros and pick up tricks and tips.

When winter ends, we don't stop. The new Angel Fire Resort Country Club and Golf Course is scheduled to open May 1, 2010. There will be mountain bikes all over the mountain for the Chile Challenge Mountain Bike Race on June 5 and 6, 2010. We have plenty of fireworks and parades in the Enchanted Circle for the 4th of July and Angel Fire SummerFest is August 6-8, 2010. Make plans now to vacation with us and have some fun!
